List of teams and cyclists in the 2015 Giro d'Italia

The 2015 Giro d'Italia ((英語:Tour of Italy)) was the 98th edition of the Giro d'Italia. It was the first of cycling's Grand Tours to take place in the 2015 road cycling season. The race started on 9 May in San Lorenzo al Mare and ended on 31 May in Milan. Although it took place principally in Italy, the route also took the riders into France and Switzerland.
The 17 UCI WorldTeams were automatically invited and were obliged to attend the race. In October 2014, five UCI Professional Continental teams were awarded wildcard places in the race by RCS Sport, the organisers of the Giro, to complete the 22-team peloton. As each team was entitled to enter nine riders, the initial startlist consisted of 198 riders. One of these – 's George Bennett – was forced to withdraw from the race before the start, because a blood test revealed a low level of cortisol. 197 riders therefore started the first stage of the race. These came from 36 countries; more than a quarter of the peloton (59 riders) were Italian, while no other nation had more than 15 riders participating in the race.
163 riders completed the final stage in Milan, with 34 riders failing to finish the race. The race was won by Alberto Contador (). Contador took the lead for the first time on the first summit finish of the race on stage 5. He maintained this lead for several days, despite injuring his shoulder in a crash on stage 6. Contador lost the lead to Fabio Aru () on stage 13 after being held up in another crash. He regained the lead the following day, however, in the race's only individual time trial, in which he beat all his rivals by several minutes. Contador then maintained his lead to the end of the Giro, despite coming under pressure from Aru and his teammate Mikel Landa in the final week of racing. Aru finished second, 1' 53" behind Contador, with Landa more than a minute further behind in third.〔 Aru won the prize for the best young rider. The points classification was won by Giacomo Nizzolo (), while the mountains classification was won by Giovanni Visconti (). Astana won both the team classifications.

All seventeen UCI WorldTeams were automatically invited and were obliged to attend the race. As the winners of the 2014 Coppa Italia rankings for Italian teams,  – who competed as in 2014 – were provisionally invited to the race in October 2014. In January 2015, their entry in the race was officially confirmed with the announcement of all five wildcard places, to complete the 22-team peloton. The other wildcard places were awarded to the , , and squads.
